Pooginook is a 20,000ha property located in the NSW Riverina. Pooginook joins over 4000 stud ewes per year and produces over 1800 rams for stud and commercial clients. At Pooginook the continued focus is to breed a balanced Merino offering unique wool, high fertility and early growth rates. The Pooginook on Property Ram Sale was held on the 29th of September 2009. 180 rams were offered and 179 sold for an average price of $1418.00 with a top price of $6,500 to Eric McKenzie of Bethungra. The sale was well represented by all states including 54 rams to Western Australia. This was the first ram sale conducted in the recently renovated selling complex at Pooginook. Pooginook has Merino Select ASBV performance data on our sale rams and semen sires.
