Stud Information:

The Watasanta Stud was established in 1985. After witnessing first hand as a young stock and station agent at Coonamble the doing ability of the Santa Gertrudis breed. They were the first to get fat and the last to get poor.
 

Females were sourced far and wide with one common denominator – Big soft polls.
Bloodlines originated on Goonoo Goonoo, Calga west, Murrumbo, Boongarry and Circle 8. More recently Wavehill, Yarrawonga Waco, Marston and Canowinda were added to the mix.

Watasanta has never been afraid to purchase the right stud sires when found with most being the top priced sires at various sales. The most recent being Waco Odessey (P) top priced bull purchased for $27,500.
